Mission Statement The mission of the South Carolina Jail Administrators Association (SCJAA) is to promote professionalism through training; to promote unity, to address relevant jail issues; to promote fellowship and good will amongst those who serve within the criminal justice system; and continually strive to promote a positive image of professional and ethical behavior to the community and citizenry it serves. The Association shall be composed of Jail Administrators or persons responsible to Sheriffs, City/County Administrators or Regional Boards for the operation of city/county detention facilities, county prisons, or regional detention centers in South Carolina; their employees, South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) employees, Vendors, and retired Jail Administrators, jail employees and SCDC employees who were members in good standing upon their retirement.  2008-2010 SCJAA ELECTED OFFICERS

Scholarship Program Each year, the South Carolina Jail Administrators' Association awards a minimum of two scholarships to enhance the academic pursuits of those presently working in the field of local corrections as well as the spouses and children of jail employees.
