2009 Conference Highlights

Our 2009 Annual Training Conference was a huge success! There were 155 registered participants in addition to more than 75 vendors and vendor representatives. We had 45 participants that registered as first-time attendees, which shows our association is viable, relevant, and moving progressively forward. Thanks to your generous donations, our Scholarship Auction raised a substantial amount of funds for future awards. Once again our presenters provided a well-balanced mix of relevant and interesting training topics. The Board commends all who participated and hope that you continue to support this association at all future training events. We look forward to seeing you throughout the coming year at various regional training events scheduled throughout the state. We hope to see you once again at our 2010 Annual Conference as well. Until then, be safe and secure.

Registration
A special room rate of $90.00 plus applicable taxes & fees will be offered to conference attendees. Please register as early as possible to avoid an increase in your lodging costs.

Note: You are strongly encouraged to make your reservations as soon as possible.

Vendors may register early on Saturday from 1:00-4:00 in the Vendor Hall.


Training Sessions
Training will be conducted in various locations on site at: Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, 10000 Beach Club Dr., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.


Activities
A Vendors’ Reception will be held in the Vendor Hall on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 6:00 pm. Monday evening will feature a barbeque and our Annual Scholarship Auction and Karaoke. Our theme for 2010 will be “Sport’s Night”, so get your team jerseys, caps, and favorite team outfits ready to go!! Our Awards Luncheon will be held Tuesday in the Dunes Ballroom.


Attire
“Business casual” attire is requested for all training and daytime events.


Identification
Please wear your name tags to all conference events. Tickets are needed to attend the Awards Luncheon.


Vendors
All conference attendees are encouraged to visit the various exhibits to see what new products are available. The South Carolina Jail Administrator’s Association appreciates the support of all the Vendors and we sincerely thank them for all of their sponsorship and support.

Door Prizes
Monday and Tuesday door prize drawings will be held during breaks in the Vendor Hall. Thereafter, the drawings will be held in the main meeting hall at the end of breaks. A ticket for the drawings will be placed in your participant packet. Our Grand Prize Drawing will be held on Wednesday morning before adjourning. (Must be present to win)

Some Vendors will be giving away prizes at their booths. You must register individually for those prizes.
